Question : Problem: Connecting Airport Express to a DSL modem
Hi,
I have Earthlink DSL, which works by connecting the modem to the computer and then the phone line out to the jack. So on the modem there is one line in (ethernet (?) cable in from the computer) and only one out (regular phone line).
The Airport has the same to ports. So how can I connect them so that i can get the Airport to send out to my laptop?
It seems there needs to be more ports, no?
thanks so much for any help!
Lori
Answer : Problem: Connecting Airport Express to a DSL modem
You need an Airport Extreme, not an Airport Express. The former is a wireless router, the latter is in effect a wireless receiver, not a wireless broadcaster.
