Question : Problem: No sound in MediaPlayer 11

My client is being advised via telephone. He has the following brand new system:
Acer Aspire T180 Computer System AMD Sempron 3200 80GB 512MB DVD/RW Windows Vista Home Basic;
Everything works fine apart from the issue of no sound in MediaPlayer. There is sound in every other respect. Test sounds can be played; the Lexmark printer speaks; Windows log on/off sound works...
Is there a setting in MP11 through which you can specify sound output?

Answer : Problem: No sound in MediaPlayer 11

Check that the mute button in Meda Player - between the Fast Forward and volume slider has not been pressed accidently - its very easy to do.

Also doulble click on the souns icon in the system tray (bottom right on the taskbar)  when Media Player is runing and select MIXER below the volume slider from there you can see individual volume controls for different applications - Check media player is not muted there and adjust its volume.
