Question : Problem: IEEE 802.17 - What Company/Manufacturer is utilizing this protocol and how does it differ from IEEE 802.16?

My company has a Client desiring to apply the IEEE 802.17 protocol for a wireles and fixed "meshed" network system.  I have been trying to contact Luminous and their supplier, but am not receiving any call-backs.  I have read where Luminous closed its doors last December 2005.  I believe Luminous was one of the instigators of the IEEE 802.17 protocol.  Are there any other companies utilizing the IEEE 802.17 protocol?  What is the diference between the development of the IEEE 802.16 and IEEE 802.17 protocols.

Does Tropos use one of these protocols for their Metromesh Systems?
