Question : Problem: Use Client-side Office installation to view published content
Ok. I am currently evaluating Citrix Access Essentials 2.0 (Presentation Server 4.5). I have a network drive that I'd like to publish. I've tried this several different ways and finally settled on the Citrix supported method of publishing Explorer and using GPO to lock it down. The problem now, is that the content (Office .doc's, .xls's, etc) don't associate themselves with the client-side installation. According to Citrix docs (which I can't locate now for some reason) - I read that it should look for a client-side install of the software and that I don't need to necessarily publish office and associate it with the content in order to be able to open these docs. I know this works - b/c the previous method I used to publish the content would open without me publishing office. Now it's broken!!
So what's the best way to do this?
