Question : Problem: SDLT 320 ejects all tapes
We have an ML530 G2 server running Windows 2003 server and Backup Exec v10d, with an internal SDLT 320 drive.
Until a week ago our backups were functioning normally. Now, all tapes inserted into the drive are immediately ejected, including the cleaning tape.
We replaced the sdlt drive and ran a backup immediately afterwards. This completed successfully. But when the backup was scheduled to run again, the tape was ejected. We have tried the tape(s) in another sdlt drive and they are ok.
Can anybody help?
Thank you.
Sarah
Answer : Problem: SDLT 320 ejects all tapes
Reset the Media to be immediately overwriteable.

Put
all backup jobs on hold. Will the tape stay in then? If so, re label it. Then try a backup
