Question : Problem: Computer overheating fast
I had a PC Chips M811LU motherboard with an AMD Duron 1.8 ghz cpu and recently updated my system. The motherboard/CPU worked fine in my old computer but I recently put it in my dad's computer and now if he leaves it on for like 30 minutes the temperature gets into the 100's. It heats up super fast so he can't leave it on long. Is there anything wrong I did while transporting it or has the CPU fan just gone bad because the whole system is on fire (according to Speed Fan) but the CPU (Temp 1 (I think its the CPU)) is hotter than the rest...
Any suggestions or solutions to this problem?

You might take the cpu fan out, do good clean on cpu top surface, and reapply new thermal paste, put back cpu fan on, see it it improve situation.
