Question : Problem: Smart-UPS 1400 no power

Hi,

I have a Smart-UPS 1400 and the replace battery light has been on for some time.  I finally got around to ordering a replacement battery and followed the instructions.  With the new battery installed, the red light didn't go off.  I pressed the self-test button and it just gave a short beep and did nothing.  I went into the Powerchute software and told it to perform a self test.  The UPS immediately shut down - powering off all the equipment that was connected to it.  Now I can't get the UPS to power on at all.  I unplugged all the equipment, pressed and held the power button and test button on the front panel.  Pressed the reset switch on the back, tried a different outlet - nothing would get it to power back on.  Is there a fuse that could have blown or something?  Or did the UPS just die?
