Question : Problem: Startup menu

I got rid of McAfee Virus Scan...or I think I did.  In the System Configuration Utility under Startup, I still see a reference to it.
I'm a beginner....this forum doesn't look like it's for people like me.
Anyway, if a reference shows up here, is McAfee still on my pc?

I'm seeing:
VsStatEXE
C\programfiles\McAfeeVirus Scan\VSSTAT.EXE/Showwarning

It's not checked.
Just cleaning things up.

You can do that, but it is just as effective to do a file search or browse for the directory in Explorer.

The absolute best way to see if a program exists is to open Windows Explorer and navigate to the specified directory. If the directory is not there, the program is gone.
