Question : Problem: Cannot record with PoldrbitS
I've just got a new PC fitted with ATI HDMI / Realtek High Definition Audio and the Device Manager shows everything is working OK and sound plays OK through the PC speakers. I've also got PolderbitS sound recorder software installed but when I try and do a recording from a CD in my disc drive I get told by Polderbit that 'There are no recording devices available to record from. If recording devices are installed you first have to enable them.' When I go into the Window recording devices control panel it shows only external connections (microphone and line in), but nothing 'on board'. Something seems to be missing - can anyone help me please?
I'm running Vistax64 Ultimate SP1.

I think it's the high definition audio may have a similar problem with recorders in xp and have HD audio drivers that use 5.1 stereo you need the stereo mix option to record from what you hear. ( speakers) May have to change the audio to use generic Not a user of Vista but in the recording options in XP go to the master Volume on the taskbar options advanced recording section. Tick to use all the offered recording lines. put it back to playback. Are you simply recording from a cd playing in a media player?
