Question : Problem: Creating Ghost Image of Dell Optiplex 520

i'm using ghost 8.0 to upload the image of optiplex 520 machine onto the external USB hard drive ( seagate ).

I choose Image To option during the process, but when I need to pick the location for the image to be stored, the seagate drive does not show up on the list.. do I need to change someting in the Setup F2....  Thx

No, in the BIOS.

It also seems that if you do ghost -forceusb and you don't see the usb drives, exit ghost and then run the same command again.  The second time may bring the drive up.

What you are doing in the BIOS is disabling any options to allow a USB boot.  This interferes with Ghost trying to takeover the USB controller.

If this doesn't work you may have to load a device driver on your boot disk to access the USB drive.
