Question : Problem: no sound on windows xp..multimedia audio controller yellow flag..using intel pentium 4..driver problem?
My computer has no sound. After a lengthy exploration of possible problems, i've verified that the issue is with the multimedia audio controller. I've searched the web for various solutions, none of whcih seem to work. I can't even figure out what sound card i have in order to download the correct drivers. I've attached the dxdiag info and the information in the sound part doesnt help me at all. I've been told to download the drivers for my motherboard, but the intel site makes it complicated for me to know which driver i should be downloading. No idea what to do..do i need a new sound card or is there a way to fix this?
