Question : Problem: Palm Treo 755p bluetooth error
We have a Vista x64 computer that we need to synchronize to a Palm Treo 755p. Palm does not support synchronizing to any 64-bit version of Windows through Palm Desktop because they do not have vista 64-bit compatible USB drivers. The work-around is to use bluetooth to synchronize the device with Palm Desktop. About half of the time we try to synchronize the Treo 755p with bluetooth, an error message appears on the phone:
"Unable to initiate Hotsync operation because the port is in use by another application"
I have tried to disable all bluetooth features in Vista, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thank you

If I where you I would blow all the BT stuff away and make sure that it is gone from HotSync as well.
Then reinstall the BT.
Pair the computer with the Palm. Make sure that they both can see each other.
Then follow the step by step above.
