Question : Problem: Finding USB to Ethernet adapter software
|
|
I want to connect my laptop directly to my computer via usb to ethernet port.
I bought a usb cable with a 'usb to ethernet' adapter included.
I would like to connect a windows 2000 using usb to window xp (with ethernet), after searching the internet, i found that windows does not support this type of a connection and i have to get third party product to make the connection.
Where, how do i do this, what do i need?

Each adapter has its own drivers. You'd have to find the right drivers for your adapter.
It might just be easier to pick up a $15 NIC for the Win2K box and a crossover cable.
