Question : Problem: Restore Exchange 2003 on different Windows OS
Hello,
I am planning to use Amazon EC2 & S3 as a disaster recovery for my datacenter. However Amazon provides only Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise and Datacenter editions. In my datacenter I am running Windows 2003 Std and Enterprise versions.
I would like to use an HP product, called HP Data mirror to replicate my data (Exchange, SQL...) to the Windows 2003 R2 machines at Amazon.
In case of Disaster, can I start my Exchange 2003 database on Windows 2003 R2 Ent or datacenter knowing that my original (source) server was Windows 2003 Enterprise?
If this is not possible, is there a way to achieve this?
Many thanks for your support
S.
