Question : Problem: port forwarding for remote desktop behind a computer and router?

I have a home network set in our flat. we have a computer connected directly to the internet, with a firewall and all that stuff.  this system is running windows xp with internet sharing setup  We then have a router, with dhcp deactivated, connected behind the system. Finally, we have a set of personal desktops behind this router.

My intention is to be able to connect to my own personal computer, behind the other system and firewall, and control it remotely so that I can access my non-shared files.  is this possible?  what settings would need to be activated/ deactivated?

You can use terminal services which is native to XP, port 3389:

The firewall will need to port forward port 3389 to your inside IP.
