Question : Problem: Windows 2003 Server Remote Desktop - 3D Rendering

Hi,

I just installed Windows 2003 Enterprise Server on a machine of mine that I keep in my garage and use for 3D rendering.

I just basically:
- Log on using Remote Desktop
- Turn on my software and start 3D rendering
- Close Remote Desktop (click the cross in the right top corner). I think it's the same as doing a Disconnect.

I'm the only one using the machine.

How can I be sure that always when I log on using Remote Desktop, I'll continue my session that is running my 3D rendering? How can I be sure that a new session won't be started?

Shoud I always do Disconnect (close the Remote Desktop by clicking the cross) and not do Log Off?

Do I always continue my last used session automatically (as long as I won't do log off)?

Answer : Problem: Windows 2003 Server Remote Desktop - 3D Rendering

Just start your terminal services client with the /console attribute, you can do so by just modifying your link and adding /console or call it from start --> Run... and type mstsc /console.

There is always just ONE console session, so unless someone else also uses console with a different username and logs you off your rendering will always be there for you as a console user.
