Question : Problem: Mac File transfer Firewire to USB

Hello Everybody
I have some files about 10 GB in my Mac-G4 and I want to transfer this to my laptop(i Book). Can I use the firewire-USB cable to do this?

The easiest way is to start either of your Mac's in target disk mode. Just hold down the 'T' key while booting. The computer will now boot into target disk mode where it can be access as a normal harddisk via FireWire. Once the cables are connected it will pop up as a disk on the other Mac's desktop and you can easily transfer the files you want.
