Question : Problem: Symantec Back Exec 11d

Job is scheduled for exchange backup that fails frequently. See error below. Any clue what might be causing this.
"The job failed with the following error: The Backup Exec job engine system service is not responding."

Answer : Problem: Symantec Back Exec 11d

A few things to check, i'm assuming you've restarted already, if not do that as the services should restart in the proper order.  Make sure the machines your using to backup are using proper credentials.  Are you having backup exec just use the domain admin credentials?  I find that to be the simplest method, but not always the best.
