Question : Problem: Why hang up on "applying computer settings" after new NIC installed?
An integrated NIC died in one of my MS2003 servers that runs Blackberry Enterprise Server, so I installed a new Linksys 10/100 PIC NIC.
I configured it with all the same IPs as the old one and got the message about another NIC having the same IP blah blah blah and asked if I wanted to change the current one. I clicked on NO and carried on. I had success. Was able to connect to the web, ping the AD, etc.
Then I noticed that the Blackberry's were not working so figured I should do a reboot. I logged back in and then was stuck forever on "applying computer settings". What I had to do was power off the server, unplug the network cable, boot up, log in, plug in the cable, and then I restarted the service from the Blackberry software and everything worked.
My question is, why the hang up on computer settings since the new NIC?

This seems to have resolved itself.
