Question : Problem: Itunes Will Not Exit without using Task Manager
When attempting to close Itunes, just by going file -> Exit, the program becomes unresponsive. You can only use Task manager to close the program. While using Itunes it runs fine, doesn't freeze, or have any other issues, just when trying to exit. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled the program, along with quicktime, but still no luck. The music for Itunes was transferred off of a machine running the same version of Itunes, but is not having this problem. I am installing this on a fresh installation of windows Xp Pro so im fairly confused as to why this is happening. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you're using a fresh install it may be that ITunes is trying to access the Internet but the Windows Firewal has it blocked so ITunes freezes. Another posibility is if you have an IPod connected it has the use sahard disk enebled and you should first "eject" the IPod.
