Question : Problem: HP drivers from hell
Some drivers on my laptop will not install.
I have installed most of the drivers at the following 2 locations, as my receipt says a DV8000t, and yet my model number corresponds with DV8300:

I have no idea what the PCI device is. Unknowndevices says it is:
Chip: Texas Instruments (TI) PCIxx12 SDA Host Controller
I have tried uninstalling and installing the UAA drivers first before the Conexant drivers. I have been with HP Chat support for several hours.
I didn't use the Restore Disks or partition that came with (or didn't come with) the laptop. I used a retail Windows XP SP1, with DriverPacks slipstreamed to repartition and install windows. Don't ask me to put in SP2 please.
