Question : Problem: USB to SATA/IDE Cable
I bought one of those devices that connect an internal hard drive to another computer by USB. The brand is R-Driver III. I am using Windows XP and it installed the device right away. When I looked under "my Computer" for the drive, it wasn't there (i want to view the conents of this drive). I go to disk management and it is there under "Basic Drive" but there is no drive letter assigned to it. I try to right click it and set the drive letter, but that command is not in focus (it won't let me).
Can anyone please tell me how to view the contents of this drive or to assign it a drive letter?

I've used these cables in the past and usually it just works without any complication. Have you tried the cable with another drive before? Are you sure there is nothing wrong with the disk drive? Do you have any options not greyed out in disk management?
