Question : Problem: Two Computers One Monitor

I have a Chimei CMV 946D and it has two inputs. How can I plug my PC into one, my laptop into the other so I've got the one screen for both devices?

Monitors are not designed to work that way - they can accept and display the signal from one source at a time, and switch to the other.  If you want to do a split screen, you'll need custom software on the driving PC to do that.  So surveillance systems let you do this.
