Question : Problem: Both external SP2 mouse and internal trackpoint don't work in a Thinkpad T20

I received a Thinkpad T20 recently.  Initially both the keyboard trackpoint and an external PS2 mouse worked with it.  Now I can't get either to work, although it is possible to use a USB mouse.  I have both enabled and disabled the trackpoint in the bios without any effect.  I don't want to use the USB mouse because I have other uses for the ports in the USB hub.

Help!
