Question : Problem: How do I get my printer to work?

I recently moved my computer and I also uninstalled Microsoft.net (framework?) 3.0.  
I'm not sure what's caused it but now, everytime I try to print:

I see that the printer is offline. When I put it online, then I get the error message.  I follow the instructions and power off the printer.  I disconnect and reattach the cable into the printer and do the same from the USB cable into the PC.  I power the printer back on and the computer says "new hardware found HP Laserjet 1000".

When I try to print again, once again it says printer offline and I get the same error mesage as before.  The error message keeps popping up on screen ever few seconds.
Please help.

it could be something to do with your USB drivers. You should try to go to the hp site and download the lastest drivers for the printer and see what happens.

Or you could try to look on the techforum of HP, they also provide a couple of solutions:
