I am having print problems with an Epson LQ-1050+ printer. I am running Win98 from an Acer Extensia 501T notebook. I have previously installed an Epson LQ 1050+ printer to the notebook and have been printing with no problems for months. (Epson printer driver installed from Win98 CDROM) I am now having problems in that the printer will no longer print. I receive a message stating that the printer is out of paper when after checking and replacing the paper 100 times over will not clear the problem. I attempted to re install the driver again from the win98 CD ROM however on this occasion, the driver would not install properly and kept saying that it could not find several files (DLLs) during the reinstall of the driver. After discovering that the needed file were now hidden, (I have no idea why when I installed the original driver with no problems) I then changed the setting on the notebook to show all files the driver reinstalled okay however will still not print, stating again that the printer is out of paper. I then removed the printer all together and re installed to find the same problems. I have re installed the printer and driver around ten times without fixing the problem. I have also downloaded alternate drivers located online without the printer working at all. I also have the printer connected to a stand-alone separate PC and it prints no problems at all from this (separate connection than the notebook, just to show that the printer is fine). The problem only occurs from the notebook however as I said, it did work fine initially but just stopped one day, stating it was out of paper although it was not. Any help is greatly appreciated.
