Question : Problem: Keyboard Showing Wrong Characters

Everytime I press the left shift key, it shows a "4".  Everytime I press the right shift key, it shows a "1".  When I press the backspace key, it shows " [ ".  Please help!!

Your keyboard may have been configured to use another type of keyboard strokes.

Start ur

[Control Panel]
[Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options]
[Regional and Language Options]
choose [Languages] tab in the middle
click on [Details]
You will see [Text Services and Input Languages] menu

In this settings, look at the bottom [Installed services], verify if your keyboard is:

[English (United States)]
Keyboard
. US

If not, do a left click on it and choose [Remove] from the right side.

Next, click on [Add], then choose [English (United States)], Click Ok and exit all menu.
