Question : Problem: copy drive error at 99% not enough memory?
|
|
HI I have a hard drive (my system drive) that has been a bit odd this week so am trying to clone it to a new hard drive that I have installed. I bought Norton Ghost to do this.
All goes well with the copy but at 99% done I get a 'cannot complete copy, not enough memory' error.
I assume this must mean ram - although I have 2Gb which I have scanned and seems to be ok (thought this could have been the problem with system earlier in week so ruled this out).
Also the drive I'm copying to is larger than the source drive.
Can't find any info on Norton site
Make any sense to any of you?
Thanks for your help

Run the manufacturer's diagnostic utility on both HD's, and if it finds errors, let it fix them. After that run chkdsk /x on your source disk, and then try ghosting it. You'll find the utility for most manufacturer's on the UBCD.
