Question : Problem: Trying to run NTREGOPT to clean up Hive, but not enough resources, any ideas

Trying to increase RSL for terminal server clients, keep getting resource problem, found NTREGOPT, looks like it might cleanup the registry but user hive is to big to run on allocated space. Need work around.

85 meg hive I think it can be reduced by 65% if I can accomplish NEREGOPT.

Windows 2000 Server, 2 gb ram, reg size 150 meg

How much free space is on the server?

If you can do disk maintenance by removing all temp files, etc.you should be able to increase that. Tools such as ccleaner available at http:\\www.ccleaner.com and cleanup available at http://www.stevengould.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=223 should help in the cleanup effort.
