Question : Problem: Remotely Accessing My WD NAS Drive from another location
I have a Western Digital My Book World Edition 1TB Nas drive. I currently have it connected to my home network. This drive came with software called Mionet. I dont want to use the software. I know there has to be a way to connect to the NAS drive from work. I have a very fast connection at both locations and the ability to configure at both locations. I have done a lot of research on this subject. I know there are hacks out for the drive but I dont want to make it into a linux box. Any suggestions?
Answer : Problem: Remotely Accessing My WD NAS Drive from another location
You have already eliminated both of your best options, so what other hack do you want ?
I would try the Mionet first.
Since the hardware is proprietary, you are not going to have an easy way of doing this otherwise.
I hope this helps !
