Question : Problem: EMC Clarion cheap? too good to be true?

I found this EMC Clarion FC4700 SAN  on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/EMC-Clariion-FC4700-Dual-2Gb-FC-SAN-Storage-Array-720GB_W0QQitemZ170248048072QQihZ007QQcategoryZ80217QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Is this too good to be true for the price? How much does a setup like this usually go for and what could this be missing? I thought SAN setups like this were $20,000

You cannot get support for the FC4700 and none of the currently available host-based software will work with this old an array, so first up, you can't get some of the critical software and the box is no longer supported by EMC. It's only $900 because it's next to worthless. Don't buy it.

A brand-new EMC AX4-5 with 12 drives will give you around 12TB for US$10K: http://australia.emc.com/products/detail/hardware/clariion-ax4.htm
