Question : Problem: T61 Lenovo laptop selects or highlights too many items
Lenovo T61 using Windows XP SP2
We have recently rolled out about 20 laptops of this model to our users. 4 of them so far have mentioned the same problem.
1st. If you go to select an email (in outlook) and hit delete, it doesn't just choose one email, it goes through as if you highlighted several of them and deletes them.
2nd. If you highlight a document (for example on your desktop), it doesn't just choose one, it grabs a whole bunch of icons.
3rd. If you are highlight a line or so of text in a paragraph, it the goes on to highlight a whole chunk (several lines), not just the part you want.
**This does not have anything to do with getting the most recent service pack for Office 2003, as it is not just an MSOffice issue.**
This does not happen all the time, and I cannot duplicate it for testing, it is sporadic. It can be fixed by restarting the pc, but who knows for how long.
I've been searching forums and such for this one, and the keywords make it a hard one for me to figure out.
Answer : Problem: T61 Lenovo laptop selects or highlights too many items
1) Check the mouse settings, especially sensitivity etc.
2)See if there are older or newer mouse/ pointer drivers.
3) COntact Lenovo
I hope this helps !
