Question : Problem: How to show LAN connectivity icon in tray

I admit being a little stupid here - on my computers at home all but one show an icon in the bottom right corner of two PC's    When you get a red x in the PC's it means you lost connection.    One of my PC's does not have the ICON and i  am hoping someone can tell me what its called and how to make it show in the bottom right hand corner.

In Control Panel select Network Connections.

In Network Connections right click your network connection and click on properties.

Check the box that says "show icon in notification area when connected" and the other box that says "notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity"
