Question : Problem: LCD Stretch - set on BIOS - I hate it
|
|
I have a Toshiba LapTop with a 17" LCD screen. Display adaptor ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9600/9700 Series (see more computer info in P.S.)
****If I run it at 1024x768 resolution - it is SO HARD to read - very fuzzy - it "looks" stretched
****If I go to a higher resolution - everything is so tiny.
****If I use 120 instead of 96 DPI - I can't DESIGN WEB PAGES -- AS THE FONTS DON'T MATCH MY CLIENT'S COMPUTERS.
So I dug around and saw a setting in the BIOS - ##### it says "stretch LCD - enabled" #####
I hate to fiddle with anything in BIOS - so I thought I'd check with you guys.
???? Any reason not to change this setting? It will not erase any drivers will it?
Thanks! April

you can go and change the settings in the BIOS, it wont give you any trouble. if you have any problem using windows, you can always goback in BIOS and change it back to how it was.
However, most people tend to use 1024x768 resolution on 17" screen unless its a wide screen, is your's a wide screen? or a normal standard screen? and also try 1152 with 864 resolution
