Question : Problem: hpqgends.tmp

When trying to scan the message ' hpqgends.tmp' file is needed. What is this and how do I get it ? Or how can I get my scanner to communicate with the computor. Have run a test on the scanner and it is working. I am a new computor owner and do not know much about anything ........please help !!
