Question : Problem: USB Drivers loading at XP Pro boot, then unloading? Keyboard works then doesn't...
Power up Optiplex 755 with XP Pro (from image from past Opti 755) loaded software, drivers, etc. Personalized some settings. Now, when I power up, keyboard is active for Bios, the (numlock) light goes out during XP Pro boot, then comes back on. When prompt appears, keyboard does not respond. Have tried multiple USB ports, one allowed the mouse to work, but never let the keyboard work at prompt.
Standard Dell USB keyboard. Standard Dell USB Wheel Mouse (two button w/scroll)
It would appear the drivers load, then lock.
Answer : Problem: USB Drivers loading at XP Pro boot, then unloading? Keyboard works then doesn't...
Basically had to rebuild this from the ground up. Nothing seemed to work and I needed something within a limited amount of time. Seems to be working flawlessly at this point. We'll see if it stands the test of time.
Thanks for all your help...
