Question : Problem: 8100 Manual feed won't wait for paper

If paper is loaded before printing, manual feed works fine. If the paper is loaded later, the display of course says load paper in tray 1, but neither loading and unloading nor pressing Go with the paper loaded causes the job to print.

It works normally otherwise:

1. If two jobs are sent to manual feed/tray 1 and no paper is loaded prior, but is loaded after, cancelling the first one will cause the second one to print (because to it, the paper was loaded in advance). So it detects that paper is there and prints.

2. If the paper is not in the tray and the Go button is pressed, it will print from another tray. So it detects that paper is not there and changes the print tray.

Have tried the 8100 pcl5e and 6, as well as the 8000 pcl5e and 6 drivers. Have tried it from more than one workstation. Have an 8150 installed nearby, it works normally.

Tray 1 currently set to First, have tried cassette and letter (always printing letter in tests).

Since they are so identical in other ways, just switch the 8150 nearby with the 8100 (unless of course you need manual feed without preloading on both).
