Question : Problem: Is there actually a difference between rj45 plugs labelled as cat5 and cat6?

Some rj45 plugs are labelled as cat5 or cat6. I thought that cat5 and cat6 referred to the tightness of the twist in the cable. Is this just marketing or is there actually a difference between cat5 and cat6 rj45 plugs?

The main differences in the plugs, if any, will usually be in the total length from the jacket crimp point to the copper insertion forks. Everything else is the same as both are for 28 to 22 AWG solid or stranded cable with a diameter of up to 0.225" (5.7 mm).
If you need the resources just ask for it.
