Question : Problem: vss 6.0 backup

hi we are using vss 6.0  for develop intergration.
can any body tell me how can i backup the vss projects (when my users are in check out state )bcoz it is not possible to made all user check in at a same time.

and one more how can i deny users to copy the whole vss data base.

Answer : Problem: vss 6.0 backup

Sorry??? There is NO FILE LOCK in VSS. You sure can back up any file, whether checked out or not. But you will get the state as in VSS, of course. You can't backup the file with all the changes, bacause it is on client, if you are after that.
Alas, with some effort you can get the local file name and folder, if you analyze ss.ini of each user, and try to backup via file share.
