My CR-ROM can't eject, even the power light is on. Please advise.

Yes, the LED on the drive will light even without the data cable connected. Applying power to the CD-ROM should not cause a video problem.
It seems there is a definite problem with that drive. Perhaps a short in it is pulling the power supply voltage down.
As I said earlier, you can connect only power plug to test drive & eject motors. Try this:
Insert a disc in the drive noting its position. Apply power. Open the tray & see if the disc position has changed. If no change, forget it.
It's not worth trying to repair, unless you have the experience to repair or change the motor or it's associated drive circuitry. (Sorry, but if you did, you'd know it's not worth it!) Regards, Ralph
