Question : Problem: sync iPod to new computer without losing existing data

My friend has a photo ipod (i think either 20 or 30 gig) that she bought from her brother. It has a bunch of music on it that she does not want to lose. The computer that it was originally sync'D on no longer has all the music on it. we wanted to put new music on it from my computer, but i've heard that if you sync an ipod to a different computer it will delete everything off the ipod that is not on that comptuer, namely everything. Is there a program that will allow me to put new things on the ipod without losing the stuff that is already on there, or to get all the stuff off the ipod onto my computer so i can have both? or something? any ideas?

Hi

Try this software YamiPod
http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/downloads/

A freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod under Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. It can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation.

YamiPod allows you to manage the content of your iPod without the need to have iTunes installed. You can copy mp3 and AAC files to/from your iPod, import and export playlists, search for songs, remove duplicates, create and edit notes and much more. The program runs completely standalone and can be copied directly to your iPod and run from there. Other features include a built-in music player, lyrics support, iPod information display (owner, serial used space etc.), adding and editing of notes and more.
