Question : Problem: I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S361 laptop, No Audio Device under system sound settings.
I have a Toshiba Sattelite A105-S361 laptop. About three weeks ago, the sound started getting choppy, it sounded like a record skipping. It had this problem whether I was using the internet or watching movies through the DVD player. After about a week of this, the sound stopped working altogether. When I open Windows media player, it says:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."
I have all the current windows updates on my computer and I also have the newest version of Norton Anti-Virus.
Answer : Problem: I have a Toshiba Satellite A105-S361 laptop, No Audio Device under system sound settings.
Then, if your sound works with one of the above CDs I posted above and it isn't a hardware issue, you should add the Q to the XP Zone. But first use those CDs to test the functionality.
