Question : Problem: Question: Advanced Terminal Services Printing

Question: Hello Experts I have a advanced Terminal Services printing problem.  I have a main office lets call it CORP and a remote office well call REMOTE.  There are 3 users at the REMOTE office that connect the the CORP server running TS in Application mode. Now each of the 3 REMOTE users can see their own printers when connected to CORP.  They used to be able to see each others printers when they were connected to CORP.  Old admin is gone, I am new admin and in my clean up efforts I found that all users were in the Administrators group which I have since removed and joined them to the Remote Desktop Users group.  Everything is working as it should however the REMOTE users have lost the ability to print to each others local printers via the RDP connection to the server.  To clarify when each of the REMOTE users are connected to the server via RDP they want to be able to print to all the local printers via the RDP session.

They lost this ability since I removed them from administrators group and they would like it back.

Answer : Problem: Question: Advanced Terminal Services Printing

are the remote site computers always on? another option could be to add the local printers in the remote site as network printers on the server and share them out. This way the users would print to the server which in turn spool them down to the remote printers ...

Or make local printer shares on the remote computers and add them to each of the other remote computers. These printers would then be published to the terminal server sessions. This way you wouldnt have to increase the rights on the server.

Let me know if you need extra help.
Cheers,
Phil
