Question : Problem: Setting up a Raid system.

I am tring to setup a pratice server. I have an adaptec 7890 raid controller. It has 6 HD's. 4 are 4GB 2 are 8GB's. I would like to setup a raid but I do not have the software to do this. I know I can mirror via SBS but I want to setup through the scsi card. How can I do this. I have SBS Standard edition. I am learning server so please go easy. Thanks for all the help.

Press Ctrl+A when the Adaptec RAID controller BIOS message
appears during boot to start SMOR.

But maybe your problem is that you do not know the right name of your controller. Should be something like:
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2000S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2005S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2010S      
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2015S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2020ZCR
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2100S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2110S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2120S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2130SLP
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2200S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 2230SLP
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 3200S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 3210S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 3400S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 3410S
      Adaptec SCSI RAID 5400S

and not Adaptec 7890
That is only the number of the ic on your card.
Cards that use the 7890 Chip are the AHA2940U2W or the AHA-3940UW. Both are no Hardware-RAID controllers. So for these cards you have to do Software-Raid via SBS.
