Question : Problem: UPS suggestions

We are getting a Nortel BCM400 pbx system and are looking at a good UPS system for it. One suggestion is the Powerware 9125 ... although there seems to be many models in this category ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars in price.
Any suggestions on these models or alternatives  ?

Answer : Problem: UPS suggestions

The Powerware 9125 does produce true sine-wave output. The three classes of UPSs are standby, line interactive and online. From Powerware the 3xxx are standby, the 5xxx are line interactive and the 9xxx are online. These numbers come from the different power problems that the unit fixes.

A large percentage of companies will use APC because they are very reliable. However, the Powerware 9000 series to me looks very good not just in features but in price. It depends on what the PABX system will draw (number of phones + centre unit) and how long you want it to run for; and also the budget allocated to this purchase.
