Question : Problem: Choosing RAM for Averatec 6100 Series 6130HS-20

Should this RAM:
Centon 1024MB PC2700 DDR 333MHz SODIMM (2 modules)

Averatec 6100 Series 6130HS-20 (2 slots)
Chipset: SiS 648
FSB: 199MHz

Bought 2, installed, many (700) MemTest errors (tests 5 & 8). Boots (XP SP3) and crashes. MemTest and BIOS see 2048MB.

"The DIMM can be 128MB, 256MB, 512MB or 1024MB in capacity. The DIMM is of type DDR SDRAM, has 200 pins and runs on 2.5V. The DIMM should be PC2100 or PC2700 compliant."

If you are getting memtest errors the memory you are testing is bad.
