2nd install of downgrade to XP Pro on a brand new HP Compaq 8510w notebook. Keeps showing a missing driver for the "Packet Scheduler Miniport #2", under Network Adapters. Have reinstalled the chipset, Ethernet drivers, bluetooth add on from the HP site. HP's online tech says it is not their problem, go talk to Microsoft. The Miniport HAS a driver (Device Intance ID is ROOT\MS_PSCHEDMP\0001), BUT shows an exclamation point in a yellow triangle. Is it missing? My bigger problem: The laptop will NOT allow me to pull in any User from my Active Directory other than Administrator. I suspect this Network Adapter issue may be at fault. Other systems, including new ones (this is the only new 8510w) have no trouble with our AD. Nothing else seems to be missing or amiss on the notebook. Thanks for any hlep on this.
