Question : Problem: Assign Tasks in public folder, Outlook exchange

How do i assign a task in a public folder?
We have a public group and i made a support folder for everyone to view but i also need to assign tasks from that folder and everyone must see how long the tasks been out and if its finished and so on and so on.

Please help?
