Question : Problem: Sound Drivers for Dell Inspron 1520

I am having a problem with installing the sound card on a Dell Inspiron 1520.  I am dual booting vista and windows 2000.  The sound works in Vista but no luck in 2000.  The sound card is a Sigmatel STAC 9205.  I installed a couple of different drivers that are suposed to work in windows 2000.

This one will not install correctly.  It gives me an error message saying  "Device object not present"

I tried another one from Intel's homepage and it installed but in device manager it has a exclamation mark and it says "this device cannot start"

I could never get this working.  I decided to get an external sound card and use that instead.  Works great.
