Question : Problem: POWER MAC G4 3 BEEPS AT START UP NO RAM BANKS PASSED MEMORY TESTING
I've completed all of the trouble shooting steps I know trying to solve this problem, with the exception of reseating the processor module/replacing the processor module. I've even replaced the power supply only to discover that this was not the problem. Everything was working fine, until the date on my MAC started to get screwy. The computer eventually did not start up, even after I replaced the battery. I reset the CUDA chip, PRAM etc. NO GOOD! I tried taking the battery out and waiting 10 min before trying again. When it starts up it initially sounds like it's going to power up, but instead beeps loudly 3 times and does not boot up. The light continues to flash three times continuously. When I take all of the RAM out it beeps one time. So it appears that I do have a RAM problem. Please HELP! My MAC has been out of commission for 4 months. How do I reseat the processor module? I did buy one new stick of RAM 512MB (Crucial.com) and tried it buy itself. Still no go. I am PC Saavy buy just recently returned to using MACs. Thanks

Yes PC 133 8ns is right for that machine. Perhaps the timing is wrong? There are variations of 133. Make absolutely sure you get stuff recommended for that machine.
